These enchantments can be the effects of drinking from an enchanted pool, eating fairy bread or the fruit of an enchanted tree, spending a few quiet minutes in a fairy ring, etc.
Unless stated otherwise, the effects should take place over about 15 seconds and last until the next full moon (3d10 days, if you don’t keep a calendar) or until their natural end (such as a rainstorm lasting an hour). Effects that give you an option can only be used once, not multiple times before the next full moon.
You can say that all the heroes get the same enchantment (from one event or from each eating the same fairy bread, for example) or roll separately for each, as you prefer. The nature of the effect and origin are plain to the person receiving the enchantment. (That is, if a wind blows in and cleans the area, the character knows it was because of the enchantment he or she got.)
